[00:00:04] Speaker A: As you call that radio. And even though it's 2025, this is still season four. And I'll tell you why. I've got plans. I want. I want season five to start in a certain way. I have plans for season five. I have some guests lined up for season five. And that's not to take away from today's guest, a very good guest, but it's John McMustard, who is obviously famous from Colonel Mustard. And now his new band, Mellow Party, are releasing an album on Tuesday the 28th at Oran Moore and then. But they're also playing this Saturday at the Big Burn supper on the 26th. But the reason this isn't really count as a real episode is because it was part of the Friday Night Forum, which is a thing that we do on YouTube quite often where we get about three or four different guests on in the same show. I think it was five last time. This Friday we've got Hip Hop Scotland, Respect, Ba, A Mob Deep special.
But anyway, the point is, is that it was good fun, always good fun talking to John. We're baming each other up a bit and talking about his album and the fact that one of his songs sounds remarkably one of our new songs. And you'll hear. If you want to hear the full version of my song, then you can. You can check out on the. You call that radio's Patreon page, but we've got that. We'll get Quantum Leap. I've been doing some extra stuff for the Patreons recently. So we're basically dropping all the new Gyro Babies tracks, all the new Jackal trades tracks before anyone else over there. And I'm also doing two new hangs. One's called Distorted Antenna, which is kind of like Opinion Pieces audio thing. And I'm doing another one. What's the other one called? Current Signals, which is a monthly mixtape, a radio show of all the. The best new tunes. So, yeah, jump on the Patreon to find out more about that. But it was a good conversation with John. So I thought, you know what? I don't want to start the season with us, but we have already finished season four. So I was like, oh, let's just call it. Let's call it a bonus episode. Let's get, let's get John McMustard on the show and he's playing the Big Burn Supper, but so are we. And we've just been promoted to the same hall as him. So we were. Gyrobay was supposed to be playing like A wee after party 200 cap thing. And now we've been moved to the main hall. So we're actually going to be going after Eddie Reader and a string quartet and it's Hosted by Michelle McManus and the Dumfries Community choirs playing and of course John Mc Mustard and Gody Duncan. So it's. It's going to be quite a strange night. It might be. It might be able to stream. You might be able to stream it. I'm not sure it's all. It's all a bit strange, but looking forward to it. It's the last gig before our album launch, so if you're in the Dumfries and Galloway area this Saturday 25th January 2025, come along and see Gyro Baby's, I suppose headline after Eddie Reader and the string quartet. I don't know how the crowd's gonna take to us, but it'll be fun finding out, I'm sure.
And then it's our last gig before the album launch, which is in March 29th. Dreams are mental. We're still doing a January sales on that just now, so it's £12 till the end of January. You can get it on Skittle or Bandcamp. And yeah, come along to see Gyro Baby's album Lunch, please. And if you're a Patreon, you get another 25 off as well. Check your Patreon for the discount code. But anyway, I have got. We've got lots of. Lots of exciting stuff happening on the audio podcast and the YouTube channel this year. Thank you to everyone who's supporting it and I hope you enjoy this little clip. It's the half hour conversation with John McMustard who's discussing the new Mellow Party album which is out on the 28th of January or and more. And I'll be previewing it at the Lordbourne hall and Dumfries on the 25th. Enjoy.
[00:04:12] Speaker B: It's the Friday night four in on. You call that radio? We are sponsored by Nikon, so apart from the patrons. So thanks to the patrons for supporting the show.
[00:04:24] Speaker A: We'll go for this.
[00:04:25] Speaker B: We'll go for. For blue. I think we'll go for blue. I'm trying to think what color Mellow Party is because I believe that they're our next colors. Let's just go live to Mellow Party or Marty Pello.
[00:04:40] Speaker C: Are you doing that?
[00:04:42] Speaker B: I'm good, mate. I'm good. I was thinking of a color, a background color because obviously this is not a yellow Album. You know, I normally associate you with the color yellow, but what color is is Mellow Party?
[00:04:57] Speaker C: Two seconds, Mark.
Charlie, you just wait. As soon as I go on a podcast with Scooby, every time come in and interrupt.
Right. Well, you better go and get it.
We'll take a key. Eevee's just threw his kernet head in the close. To be fair, it's a decent thing to interrupt for. I. What color is Mellow Party? I don't know. Maybe beige.
[00:05:24] Speaker B: Don't talk to me like one of your Wayans. I don't know. You're getting as much not as. Show some respect and dignity to the podcast. I don't know blues. Fine.
Somebody asked the question the other Romans. I think I've already asked you, but I can't remember your answer is it Is Mellow Party anything to do with Marty Pelo?
[00:05:44] Speaker C: Who's Marty Pello?
[00:05:46] Speaker B: All right. So as stole stole Martin Pillow's ideas just like I've stole my ideas with your forthcoming. You've sold out.
[00:05:57] Speaker C: You're stealing my ideals.
[00:05:58] Speaker B: No, no, you've stole my ideas. It's already. It's already been.
[00:06:02] Speaker C: You stole my ideals is the name of my next dp, which is about this track. Five tracks.
[00:06:11] Speaker B: You stole my ideas.
[00:06:14] Speaker C: As per.
[00:06:15] Speaker B: Well, annoys me because you've stole my ideas and you're releasing it before my ideas commit. So we're going to play both songs. We're going to play a bit of both songs. Won't let me play our song because both songs are unreleased. So we don't know who stole whose idea here.
[00:06:29] Speaker C: Well, we do know.
We know that her song was written and recorded first and we know it's the same drummer that plays on both tracks and he played on our track first.
[00:06:41] Speaker B: What drummer would that be? Since you stole two of my drummers to join your band? Was that. That was drummer one. Colin, you.
[00:06:48] Speaker C: You own the. The rights to the. The musicians and your bands. What you think if you're going they've no free will?
[00:06:57] Speaker B: Well, they're drummers, you know, I mean, I wouldn't say they should have too much free will. You know, give them a bit. Give them a bit of free will. But it's good to. How do you decide who plays drums and attract them and you've got two of the best drummers in the. On the planet. How do you decide who plays drums?
[00:07:17] Speaker C: Just generally. If God Day writes a song on the guitar, call it play Drums. And if Colin mixes in the guitar, God, they plays drums. That's how it's amazing so far.
[00:07:28] Speaker B: That is quite a good system.
[00:07:30] Speaker C: It's flaw.
[00:07:31] Speaker B: You are also playing Celtic Connections but with a twist because you're releasing your album at the same time.
[00:07:40] Speaker C: Yeah. It's going to be the Mellow party debut album.
It's called the love you have inside of you is all that you truly own.
Nice title.
I'm really happy about. The guys have been studioed and finishing touches on.
Oh, you cut off whatever you sitting there. Can you hear me?
[00:08:03] Speaker B: Mark? Sorry. It's a catchy. I've just seen. It's a catchy album name. The love you have inside of you is all that you truly own.
It's a catchy album name. I'm saying. Can you hear me?
[00:08:15] Speaker C: I can hear you. I. It sounded sarcastic the way you said.
[00:08:19] Speaker B: No, I like. I like the name but it's got. Has he got a nickname out? Have you got a nickname for it? Because it's a bit long.
[00:08:28] Speaker C: The nickname is T L Y H I O Y I A T Y T O.
[00:08:35] Speaker B: Does it spell anything?
So tall.
[00:08:53] Speaker C: Now the love you have. It will probably. People hopefully affectionately call it in the future.
[00:09:00] Speaker B: I think it's a good name and we're going to. We've got. I like the album cover. Who did the album cover?
[00:09:08] Speaker C: So it was Basmales who Good pal and done a lot of photography for Mellow Party but also Colonel Mustard over the years taking some really iconic shots. The Rolling Stones and Liam Gallagher and Jerry Cinnamon and stuff like that over the years as well. So. But we. We baser. It's good. He stays just at a sort of stublin neck of the woods and we managed to blag our way in a Stirling castle for the. The very first shoot. And then that one we blagged our way into Stirling jail. The old Stirling jail. And that's the. Just in the sort of gardens of that or the car park.
[00:09:49] Speaker B: Did you see the Rolling Stones and Liam Gallagher and Jerry Cinnamon? The name drop.
No, it's great.
[00:10:05] Speaker C: Plural. It should be the. The name drops.
[00:10:08] Speaker B: Drops with an S. Okay, so I'm going to play. I'm going to play the tune. I'm going to play the tune.
We've got. Tell us about this song while I get it set.
[00:10:17] Speaker C: I'm on the.
I'll tell you about what I'm drinking first. I'm drinking some plenish Ginger immunity.
It's usually a fiver. It's one ginger shot. Well, five ginger shots. But it's normally a fiver in the Co op. It's down to 350 and I'm trying to fight off this cold. That is the other.
[00:10:40] Speaker B: No, no, let's get. So let's. We'll get to the song in a minute. It's more important. I don't feel well, so I feel like we should talk about ginger shots. I love a ginger shot.
It's no, plenty. I use, I use another brand. We're not sponsored without any sponsors here. But the other brand is actually about a £50 for a tiny one. And then recently my local shop got another brand and it's a pound 20 for a bigger bottle. But that is a. That is the biggest bottle I've seen yet, so it looks like it's a good deal.
[00:11:12] Speaker C: Five shots, 100% vitamin C daily intake. But I have just been trying to drink about two of these a day. It seems to be helping a lot.
[00:11:23] Speaker B: Why, why, why am I. Why am I doing dry January when I. And I feel. I thought the whole point was I was supposed to feel amazing. I feel terrible, man, because your, your.
[00:11:32] Speaker C: Body has to go through all the withdrawals of the last. What a Yale smart like you're lucky. You'll know. Attached to a ventilator.
[00:11:48] Speaker B: A break during the week. I've been known to enjoy a shandy. The weekends, don't get me wrong, but it feels like, you know, normally in the past it usually takes a bit. You know, I think if you just don't drink for a weekend, a few. I feel that good energy where it's like, you know, nine days with, with the alcohol or whatever and then, you know, I, I'll, I'll go, I'll do. I've been on to do a dry January. But what I did do though, if I'm being honest, just in case any, any paparazzi there caught me off guard is I. I started dry January in the 28th of December. So I had a couple of days in the bank.
So actually I had a drink and Saturday because it was the first time I'd seen Joe in about two and a half months. So I was already in the bank from the 20th. 20th. I've got a few days in the bank that I could use if I need to. But I've decided that I like. For example, I like. I like having a beer on the Friday night. Phone in but I'm on the water. But I went for a. A business meeting today and I got a non alcoholic beer on the way back.
[00:12:49] Speaker C: Yeah, they'll make the isotonic, some of the non alcoholic feel slimmer. Be quite Quite good for me.
[00:12:55] Speaker B: Well, I don't know if, I don't know if it was good for me. I had that, I had the Heineken 0.0 which is probably the, the best is the sh. It's better than the Carolsburg ones and so that was fine. But you know why? But it was because I've kind of like just know the motivation to go. And then I was walking home and it was actually snowy and it was just nice. I quite like it was. It was chilly but it felt fresh and I was like, you know what? I've been feeling shut away and it's probably just because I haven't been going out and about and I was just like, you know what I'm going to treat myself to. If I was drinking alcohol I would go for another drink. So I went for a non alcoholic pain for 4 pound 80 by the way for Estrella on draft. Then as soon as I came out it was absolutely freezing and I've just felt a bit shit since then. But you know what I'm going to have. I'm going to spark a 0.0 Peroni while I listen to the new single that you may or may not have ripped off of the Gyro Gabies unreleased single. Hold on, we've got some comments. Let me just see.
Hi colonel Fruit market was awesome. Do you want to tell us about the fruit market?
[00:14:02] Speaker C: Oh thanks. Rain. So I, I, we done. We actually start colonel Mustard Mother Band started the year in January at Celtic Connections last year in the old fruit market and then we finished it there in December.
We had a great night. I know you were. No, well you were supposed to be there.
[00:14:22] Speaker B: Well I said man, I've actually been trying, I've been doing my best look, it's not like me to know to know do things but just like I didn't go because that week I was supposed to go to your gig and then I was going to catch the end of doors and I was really excited about it all and then Tom had a wee.
[00:14:40] Speaker C: Can I say, can I say Mark you, you might not feel good to know but your, your eyes are looking really nice tonight. I'm not sure if you've got something a special lighting but you definitely. I look pure peely Wally.
[00:14:56] Speaker B: No, it's just lame.
No, honestly man, you don't want to see me with the lighting. You know what? I see me with the lighting. You wouldn't like me.
This is me looking. This is the best I can look. I'm actually cheating with lighting here.
[00:15:11] Speaker C: You're looking. You're looking good, man.
[00:15:13] Speaker B: I. I'm not, I'm not well. I'm not well. But that's, that's the thing. I did go to 21st or 22nd. There's a few nights that I just went. I moved doing well. I'm going to P. I had the Christmas, had the, had the, the Boxing Day gig with the Loki album lunch gig. There's quite a lot on. And then I just did the Loki album lunch and I did have a few, a few shandies after that. And then I didn't even make it to the T because I was just.
[00:15:36] Speaker A: So.
[00:15:36] Speaker B: I just meant, you know what? I just don't.
[00:15:39] Speaker C: I really wanted to go to.
I, I was going to say I really wanted to make it Loki's night, but Donovan's night shift so gutted. It looked, looked great.
[00:15:51] Speaker B: I mean it was a success. It was brilliant. And then Hug me. I just stayed in the house watching the Marty Pello Fever dream is Dan McCarthy called just in the house myself. I didn't go out and hug me either just because I was at the gym in January 1st and I'm like, do you know what?
[00:16:08] Speaker C: Or is that guy that used to be in Wet Wet Wet.
[00:16:15] Speaker B: Wait. No offense to the rest of the way we went, but how dare you Tour is where we went without Marty Pelo. He's just back. He's back. So Mellow Party is obviously something to do with what you do. Adam wants to know how much will your new Mellow Party CD cost?
[00:16:35] Speaker C: Probably, I would assume about a tenor.
It's a cd. It's an album.
[00:16:41] Speaker B: And how do you decide? I've just had to do this myself with album because we've got the album out in March 29, but it's not all about me. But try to work it because you want. You want.
Do you make digital? The same prices I ended up going for what Bandcamp suggests is 8 pounds for a digital album and 10 pound.
[00:17:00] Speaker A: For a physical CD is what I went for.
[00:17:02] Speaker B: And then I, I, then I said that the vinyl was 25 quid, but I don't even know if that if that is right. We've been selling vinyl for 15 pound for about 10 years. That's who older album is. And everyone else is selling vinyls. Vinyl, by the way, before someone corrects me. Vinyl for 30 quid. So I don't know if I'm gonna be it by selling vinyl for 25.
[00:17:31] Speaker C: Well, it's good to keep the prices low for people.
[00:17:35] Speaker A: You know, it's not for me, it's not.
[00:17:37] Speaker B: It's not good for me. It's good for them.
It's not good for me.
I'm unemployed. So we don't get a job, by the way, I'm looking for a job.
[00:17:48] Speaker C: Well, you should have been selling them for more than.
[00:17:51] Speaker B: Well, I know, I. It's too late now. You can't put the prices up, can you? Unlikely. You could, early bird. Well, this is a warning. Go to Gyro Babies Band Camp if you want a good deal. Because I think I've accidentally sell things too cheap. And the gig tickets, I'm seeing all sorts of people selling tickets for 15 pound. 20 quid. How much is it for a Colin Muscle ticket these days?
[00:18:14] Speaker C: About 20 quid.
[00:18:15] Speaker B: 20 quid for the. Oh, I've been selling tickets for 12 quid. Gyro's last album launch in March 20th. 12 quid. This is your warning to get your Gyro Baby's album lunch tickets. Because I realized that I'm actually a skin unemployed musician and I've already spent hundreds of pounds I don't have on this album and I'm selling, I'm bumping myself. So go to Band Camp and skittle and get your tickets and your CDs and your vinyl before actually realize what I've done and put the prices up to a recommended retail price. But it's not all about me. It's no about me tonight. We're here to promote. We're here to promote Mellow Party. So I'm going to play the song. Do you want it to read the comments after the song? Because I'm going to get myself. I know. I'll call a beer and listen to the song. What is it about? You want to give us a wee intro?
[00:19:09] Speaker C: Yeah. So it's called Deep in the Holy Water.
It's probably the least sort of folk style on the album.
[00:19:20] Speaker B: It's not actually that mellow.
[00:19:23] Speaker C: It's like the sort of almost like standalone song at the end of the album that goes in a wee bit a different direction. And it does. It's got the sort of surface, I don't know, a wee bit punk vibes going on. But the actual. The song itself is about the value of water and how the fact that particularly down in England, more than Scotland, although Scotland's, you know, got its own issues as well in terms of its water. But the fact that we don't.
We don't value the thing that we need the most in life, which we came from the fact that I suppose down in England. More here that companies have been nationalized and they're in debt, but they're in the same debt. That was never the case when they were actually nationalized.
Sorry. The water companies are privatized rather than nationalized down there. And basically they're giving their shareholders the money that they are now in debt that the taxpayers may pay. And in the meantime, the water that we are drinking that we're supposed to wash, that we're supposed to go for a swim in is absolutely polluted. Polluted. And it's absolutely disgusting. And I.
[00:20:59] Speaker B: The English rivers.
The English rivers are full of jobs.
[00:21:02] Speaker C: The English river, Scottish ones. But in England it's worse than up.
[00:21:07] Speaker B: Here and Scotland water. I didn't know this. I thought it was an. I thought it was England that was getting polluted with the. With the joby water. Sorry for saying the word joby.
I'm trying to think of polite weight to say that there is toilet, toilet sea just releasing.
[00:21:25] Speaker C: Releasing sewage and places where humans are supposed to swim and have leisure. But also, you know, water is the most precious thing. You can go a month without eating, but you can't go three days without drinking water. And the fact.
[00:21:42] Speaker B: Have you ever met a month since I've eaten?
[00:21:45] Speaker C: No.
[00:21:46] Speaker B: What's the longest you've already. Have you ever fasted?
I should be asking.
[00:21:51] Speaker C: When I was in hospital, when I was a kid, my appendix bursting. I didn't eat for maybe about a couple of weeks, I think but I was on drips and.
[00:22:03] Speaker B: That was water. So do you know who values water? Nestle. Nestle value water. They're just buying all the water. They buy all the water.
[00:22:14] Speaker C: You could probably get a necessarily strong.
Nestle are one of the worst.
The water stuff. Yeah. But more so like over in Africa where a lot of the water over there is polluted. Again, bad practice by big businesses. But they went over with guys dressed as if they were docked hospitals but they were sales and they asking mothers who basically powdered milk for their babies which they were then using polluted water. And I. I think there was like there was tens of thousands if not more deaths due to that. And that was all down in Nestle. So yeah, they're one of the worst.
[00:23:02] Speaker B: We could maybe see that Nestle are the worst. I think they may be the worst of all of them. They've not. It's a bad track record. They have.
[00:23:09] Speaker C: Coca Cola is the. Coca Cola is the biggest polluter. Yeah, but it's easy if you count, you count.
[00:23:20] Speaker B: You can boycott Coca Cola though. You can't boycott every cereal in the world. That's the problem. That's what Nestle's got. They've got. They've got the buying or the water. They've got. They're buying all the chocolate bars. They're buying all the cereal. It used to be Coca Cola. You just go, right, I'm boycotting Cola. I'll drink iron brew. Although I don't know if iron brews get blood in their hands. I mean, you don't get to the top by being nice. You know, it's like Elon Musk didn't get to the top by being nice. It didn't. Richard Branson. People like Richard Branson. Oh, he's a nice old man. He didn't get to the top by being nice. He might have a vinyl player. Emmy. No, the Beatles, B sides. But he didn't get to the top by being nice. We're getting lots of comments coming in, John. I want to get. What? I'm. I'm distracted. We'll just. We'll play the song.
Speaking of water, I've run out.
[00:24:12] Speaker C: Let me say one more thing. Let me say one. Let me say one more thing about the song. So the point. The point of it is that we used to worship, you know, nature and we used to have respect for nature, and I suppose that's what it's about.
And going back before Christianity, like pagan times, we had respect, or the people in those days had respect for the elements and the things that kept us alive. And we. Or at least big companies and some people in government have moved away from that. And I suppose that that is what, deep in the holy water as about. But it's also a song you can surf to and headbang to.
[00:24:53] Speaker B: Yeah, it's got that Halloween surf punk sound that, funny enough, psychobilly. Yeah, psychobilly. And it's a sound that Gyro baby's invented. And I don't know how he heard it because it was unreleased. And it just so happens the same drummer. God, the Duncan is on both. So we'll play your version and then we'll play. Maybe play a little bit. Hamish won't let me play the full new Gyro single. But what were yours first?
[00:25:20] Speaker C: I thought you were in charge, Mark.
[00:25:23] Speaker B: No, no, no. With this stuff, man. No. I'm the dictator of the democracy that is the Gyro Babies. But I think Hamish is a wee bit more in charge of the. Look, if I was just to just sort of send. I think, you know, I was just gonna. I Was just wanting to just send this song to my patrons this week. But I think I got the impression that she'd rather wait till the song's finished properly, you know, mixed and mastered. So it's good to have somebody with that on your side, because I would not, you know, that's why, you know, whenever the couple of beers will send you songs and. And then they're unfinished. So I'm sending people that I know unfinished songs and to get feedback, but it's just to get validation. Just as. Are we on the right path, are we not? And then you steal the ideas. So I shouldn't be doing that. He's got a point. We should make sure it's copyrighted.
I'm always joking, right? This is him. Deep in the holy water.
[00:26:28] Speaker D: Deepen the.
[00:26:29] Speaker C: Holy water.
[00:26:36] Speaker D: Breaks free into the estuary Deep in the holy water where throat and tears run dry Storm speeding ocean breathing sea reign supreme Deeper the holy water Deeper the holy water into the endless wave Deeper.
[00:28:03] Speaker B: Stuff for the album launch.
The love you have inside of you is all that you truly own or. Or lovingly known as Kelty Connections downstairs in the auditorium of Ormore, Tuesday 20 January, featuring the Lorettes, Creative Martyrs, Becky Wallace, Craig Weir and the Dumfries Community Choir. Get your tickets from Celtic Connections Tickets.
[00:28:34] Speaker A: Scotland and Oran Moore.
[00:28:36] Speaker B: All ages welcome under 18s must be.
[00:28:38] Speaker A: Accompanied by an adult.
[00:28:40] Speaker B: That looks like a good one.
I may. Oh, I'm. I think.
[00:28:46] Speaker C: It'S going to. Going to be.
[00:28:50] Speaker B: Why, Right, just before we go, because I've got Noisy Port all the Way in Nottingham is. Is about to come on, but let's go through some comments also. I want to ask you, while I'm picking some comments, right, why. Why the. The name changed? Because obviously Hunter Mc Mustard was a thing. So why. Why the name change?
[00:29:13] Speaker C: It just became a band.
We were going to change it before the last release and the guys who are. Who are part. I mean, hello, party. Were like, oh, no, I'll keep it. He's just, you know, he's up that reputation we hunt on McMaster. But both me and Colin, at the same time, we were both like, no, if we're going to do it, it has to be now. And we both sort of came to that conclusion and Colin brought it up and I'm like, mate, I'm thinking the exact same thing. It's became a band. Gordy's writing songs, Stevie and Gary are writing songs and.
Yeah, and it'll be one. It'll be a band that folk can drop in and out as they like and we'll have special guests and all that. But it definitely feels like more a band and having Hunter and McMaster than mellow party. And it just seemed a bit laborious.
[00:30:04] Speaker B: You also, you got. You did do a clever one.
You got lots of hits for Go On Yourself and you featured the Mellow Party, which is a clever way of getting. Keeping the streams, if that makes sense.
Feature in the middle party.
How did you do. Did you not do that? Who did that? Someone's. Someone was thinking.
[00:30:30] Speaker C: Well, we. We kind of. It's a transition. But there's nothing really clever about it. It's just that that's what it was and we wanted the guys to be acknowledged. But then it's like, well, we are a band and so we're doing Mellow Party now and that's it.
So keep a stream. Anyway.
[00:30:58] Speaker B: Joby is a great word. Says soapy. I know a superhero called Joby Man.
Alan Grace's toilet seat. Is that a band? It's okay. So I'm just gonna forget no more. No more of that chat. Well, let's talk about the music here. We're here to talk about music. Magic tune Mellow Party are brilliant says Stacy Rain sue says nice to see God. They bumped in him fresh off a trawler festival and it was sober and coherent. That was the first. But hope he's still in the wagon. He is. He is on the wagon right now. That's what you need to know him last night.
[00:31:36] Speaker C: He's doing. He's doing good.
[00:31:38] Speaker B: Good to.
[00:31:40] Speaker C: He's deep in the holy water.
[00:31:44] Speaker B: The winter water. The winter water, as we call it in this show. Yeah. Good on God. And also I'm excited to hear what's his song called the Game that's on the album because I've seen. I've seen some clips he used recording it, but I know it from years ago.
[00:31:57] Speaker C: I wait, I'll tell you.
[00:32:01] Speaker B: And that's another song that I get ripped off. I'm pretty sure I've got a line on that song.
Clarify.
[00:32:07] Speaker C: It's called Where I Belong.
[00:32:09] Speaker B: I think where I belong. Yes. There is a God. They'll confirm it. God, if you're watching, confirm that. I wrote a sentence of that song. I wrote two lines of that song. But it's not about me. John, will there be a Colonel Mustard cd soon as Adam.
[00:32:26] Speaker C: Colonel Mustard have been on recording three new songs and I. We're working on other songs, but by the time it takes Colonel Master to do anything, we'll probably still be maybe a year or so away from a cd, but I think. I think we'll. In all seriousness, I think we'll probably have a couple of releases this year. Maybe just let three singles and possibly an album next year. So it's good we got in the studio for the first time in a couple of years recording studio that is. We're in rehearsing still quite a bit but I saw it's good and I nice take it in and the guys have put some great stuff down on the three tunes. So exciting times. I'm sitting on loads of new music with Colonel Master Dan, Mellow Party and some other projects as well.
[00:33:21] Speaker B: That's good feeling. It's a good feeling to have a stack in the vault. Big Al says this is brilliant content. Love the banner. I always want to phone in by the way. You will be able to phone and after I've spoke to Noisy Port, you as you call that Raiders Friday night phone in. So although we can rig some of the guests, you can actually phone in. Hi from California says Stacey. Well, I hope everyone's all right, Stacey. It's wild out here.
[00:33:45] Speaker C: Not nice to see especially when you've got a president about to come in that doesn't believe in climate change.
Probably not great for the people that LA at the moment.
[00:34:00] Speaker B: Jigsaw Tiger says air zero percent pretty good. Just. Just to clarify, this isn't an advert. This is just 0.0. I'm. I'm. I'm just gonna.
Yeah. Shouts to Amanda I'm gonna pretend to get p. Did you. Did you ever. Did you ever pretend to get high? Did you ever pretend. Did you use your imagination?
[00:34:20] Speaker C: Take an probably I When you're a teenager kid none attack you take a.
[00:34:27] Speaker B: Tick track and pretend it's something else. And well, I suppose when you're young you get high. That's why kids running in circles didn't they. They run in circles to get dizzy to get high.
[00:34:41] Speaker C: A lot of silliness at different ages.
[00:34:44] Speaker B: Isn't there Colin Simes in the house? Is it not food for the fishies?
I don't know about that. I think we're back to that chat.
[00:34:51] Speaker C: Sounded like a mafioso threat. Colin.
[00:34:56] Speaker B: We got the shorts for Liddle were great, says Mark McKenna. I've not actually tried the I'm a fan of the ginger shorts. Okay, I'm going to play a quick snippet and then we're going to go to Noisy Port just to see so if everyone remembers the last song we played was oh then by the way I've got.
[00:35:19] Speaker A: I've got fast Internet again.
[00:35:21] Speaker B: This is great. I've just downloaded it that quickly. I just did a one two buckle my shoe and then this is how R1 sounds with the same drummer on the same rough that we obviously invented. Halloween surf punk psychobilly sound.
Where are we about Tenacious D. Would you agree with that?
[00:35:47] Speaker C: No, not consciously but maybe subconsciously.
[00:35:52] Speaker B: And this is. This is our one.
[00:35:53] Speaker C: But I love.
[00:36:29] Speaker B: That'S enough for him is copyright strikes me that's. That's called the Secret Information and I think. I think I'm going to get the. The go ahead.
God. That I'm getting Drumming them both. Yeah. If you're a
[email protected] forward/radio we're going to send it because it's called the Secret Information. I think it should be a secret song for only the Patreon until after the albums. So we're going to sort that out.
You've been ripped off. Yeah, I agree. Thanks Mark, for backing up. Can ask the drummer Tune.
[00:37:01] Speaker C: Ask the drummer. That's what you do.
[00:37:04] Speaker B: Did you swap the label on the bottle? This is what people would use. Hanking me. It's a good idea though. Maybe. Maybe next week if I'm still struggling. Right, John, it's been great to speak to you everyone. Go to the mellow party. I've got noisy poet waiting all the way for Nottingham. A pleasure as always. Jerk out Melon party. Celtic connections and.
[00:37:25] Speaker A: Well, I'll put a poster up one last time.
