Today we go to New York to chat with legendary guitarist/ writer Grasshopper aka Sean Thomas Mackowiak of Mercury Rev fame. This is one of my favourite bands of all time . They came along at a pivotal moment for me as I started digging deeper for more underground records. I remember 'Yer Self is Steam' blowing me away with mixture of curiosity, fear and joy and it being the soundtrack to a very difficult time. They would later follow this up with two perfect albums in 'Deserters Songs' and 'All is Dream' that have never been off my playlists ever since. I have seen them live many times and it is an honour to speak with such an influential writer and performer with such an interesting back story . Their new album 'Born Horses' is out September 6th and they will play Glasgow on November 6th in Glasgow as part of their world tour.
